Museum of Science and Industry, March 2nd and 3rd , 2019

 SATURDAY, MARCH 2nd, 2019

7:45-8:30 am                Judges/Safety Judges Sign in…Follow Signs to Auditorium

8:00                              Safety judges Meeting

8:00 9:00 am                Student / Family Sign in Group Center Eating Area of Museum and Project Set up in Exhibition Area

Follow signs at entrance lobby in  Museum for directions.  Runners should report to the Group Eating Area first for sign-up and their T-shirts.  They will be escorted to the auditorium for the Runners Meeting.

8:15-9:00 am                Safety Judging of Projects

8:30  am                       Judge’s meeting in Auditorium

Runner’s Meeting in Auditorium

9:00 – 12:30                  Judging of Projects and Special Awards Judging

(Students will be dismissed from the judging area when all project judging is over.  Announcement will be made over the PA system when students can be dismissed from their projects)

 1:00-4:00                     Public Viewing of Projects

 1:00-2:00                 Sponsor’s Meeting  (All schools must have a representative attending this meeting)


SUNDAY, MARCH 3rd, 2019

 11:00-1:00 p.m.            Public Viewing of Projects

Please note that the Museum opens at 11:00 on Sundays.  Students and their families can arrive early to enjoy the Museum exhibits.

 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.            Dismantling of Projects  before Awards Assembly

2:00 – 3:30 p.m.         Awards Assembly in Auditorium

                             (Doors will open for seating at 1:15.  Slide- shows will be shown)

4:00                            Museum Closes.   End of Fair.


**Students will be notified from their sponsor or by viewing the Region 2 website if their project or paper was selected for the State Exhibition shortly after the Fair.  If students are selected and cannot attend, please let your sponsor know immediately so an alternate can be chosen.  $50 penalty will be assessed to schools for each no-show.
